The Song
The Song
Sing to me love,
show me inside.
Let me be with you
Like the waves and the tide.
Drifting so softly into your shores,
Pulling together just a little more.
I see a balance,
A new time
a new place
Filling the void on the access of space
As the worlds turning
I’m looking around
Searching for something
I think I have found.
A brain that the scarecrow had coveted, dear.
The mind of a writer to share so much cheer.
A friend with a friendly inglorious face,
I settle myself,
Let us keep pace,
This is not fading
This isn’t a race.
Dancing on visions of intimate charms,
You hold me so tightly so deep in your arms.
I know this is only the beginning of this,
I say to myself “calm down” with each little kiss.
Joining together our hands and our hearts.
Kisses like satin,
Touches like wine.
Is this the table from which I will dine?
Opening slowly the petals the flower.
We stay up too long and late is the hour.
Speaking and talking our lovers’ sweet tongues,
The magic that fill me, the breath in my lungs.
Friendly eyes looking back at me,
Softly they whisper “with you I am free”
